I feel as though I gave you too many five stars... :dummy:

I thought this was brilliant when I saw it, and I couldn't spot too many issues. However, the glasses are pretty weird, since they're pulled back and look kind of awkward... Otherwise, I love this so much.

The beard looks a little weird, but if I recall you did state you weren't use to drawing them. So you get a freebie on that C; so get better on that. A suggestion is that you draw the jawline in the sketch and then follow that. That's how I draw beards at least, even zeh small ones!

Otherwise this was fantastic. The shading and use of gradients... just magnificent!

Yeah I sort of felt the same thing about the stars, but I've never given this kind of critique and everyone have different opinions so c:

Ah yes the glasses has been pointed out and yes they do look weird :iconeheplz:
I tried drawing them normally first but I couldn't get it right, I didn't want to just ragewuit the entire drawing so I decided to go with the "magically bending cartoon glasses" style instead XD
I'm going to practice extra hard and make them flawless in no time :iconyeahplz:

Yes indeed the beard XD I think it could also be beause the beard is the only thing without a lineart around it?
That's a smart tecnique, thank you for the tip! I will definately try it out c:

I've started alterning my shading a bit and trying out different coloring/shading styles and I really like this more simple kind of shading and I'm really glad people seem to like it so much :la:

Thank you so much for your lovely words and the helpfull tips

Haha, magically bending glasses? Awesome! Don't worry, I suspect you will.

The beard might've looked a little more normal if you had added some lineart. Don't go crazy with it, but if you add just a bit of lineart like you do with the hair, it'll look cool enough.

That's how I see beards. I mean, no one in my family has a beard, but you know, movies and everything. They always follow the jawline if I remember correctly.

Your way of shading is amazing, and I'm glad you love doing it in that fashion ^_^

No problemo mi amiga!

Oh yeah I was thinking about that too! Not adding linerat made it look like it was edited onto the picture afterwards XD

XD Yeah, but hey, the picture overall looks really nice and now you have an idea on what you can do for beards, so it's all good.
